CRC Kids - God promises

                                                                                                  Lesson 7
Promises are special to children. Whether they make a promise or someone makes one to them there is always a choice involved. You can choose to believe the promise or not. It is the same with God’s promises, we choose to believe or not to believe. Our goal this week was to teach your children that God promises them eternal life and it is their choice whether or not to accept it and believe it.

Your children make church great!

 Lesson 6
Your children make church great! Our goal in lesson 6 was for your child to understand that church will always be better when they are involved, we told the story of the building of the Tabernacle found in Exodus 25-26, 31:1-11 and 35:30- 35. In this story, God told Moses to build a place where the Israelites could worship Him. After God had given Moses the plan, different people began using their talents to help build the tabernacle. If all the people hadn’t helped out, the tabernacle would still have been built, but it wouldn’t have been as good as it could have been had everyone participated, in the same way, church is always better when your children participate

"This then is my commandment, that you love one another;
Just as I loved you."
John 15: 12

Lesson 5
Our goal in this lesson was to teach the children the most important commandment, Love God and love others.
Following the rules is important, especially when those rules come from God. Our goal was for your children to learn, through the story of the Ten Commandments that we are to love God and love others. Our Bible story was from Exodus chapters 19 and 20. In this story God shows His power to the Israelites and speaks directly to Moses in front of them. He gives Moses Ten Commandments for the Israelites to follow. These were some of the first laws that God had ever given to man. Ultimately, these ten rules were all about loving God and loving your neighbour.

Our 8 week series “On the trail” has been awesome thus far, each lesson consists of a fun bible lesson, a cow race, music, dancing and a quiz, this series is being enjoyed by all, even the children’s ministry volunteers.

On The Trail - Lesson 4

It’s very easy to worry and complain about the things we need. Our goal was for your child to learn that when they have a need, they shouldn’t worry or complain. Instead, they should thank God for what He’s already done for them and then ask him to meet their need.
Exodus 15:22 – 17:7.

On The Trail -
Part 2

In part 2 we showed your children how the Bible teaches that in order to truly show God that we love him, we must obey.
We told the story of Moses and the ten plagues on Egypt found in Exodus 5-11. In this story Moses goes to Egypt and tells Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, to let the Israelites go and be free from slavery. Pharaoh refuses and makes life harder for the Israelite people.  Moses never stopped obeying God. In this way Moses showed love for God. The Bible tells us in John 14:15 “If you love me, obey my commandments.” (NLT) Just like Moses showed love by being obedient, we should be obedient as well.

All of the elements of today’s lesson were for the purpose of teaching your children that the best way to show our love is by being obedient to God and to those in authority over us.
