CRC KIDS CHURCH NEWS LETTER (OCTOBER 2011)

CRC KIDS CHURCH NEWS LETTER
(OCTOBER 2011)

Hi moms and dads
It has been an awesome year thus far for the CRC Kids Church with the Holy Spirit moving and touching our young children and volunteers.

CRC Youth
Our Youth team is up and running with strong leaders who will walk with and guide our young Teens (age 13-18) Transforming the younger generation for Christ

Christmas play
We are busy shooting our Christmas play which is going to be awesome, the play was recorded at the Melkbosstrand Private School situated in a beautiful country side of Melkbos, so the Christmas spirit is already very strong in the Kids church.

Arts and crafts
We will be taking out the water paints in November so please send your child/children with old clothes or an old shirt which they can use while painting.
Please don’t forget to drop all recycling items that can be used in the Art Recycling box that you will find by the Kids Church auditorium door (Buttons, empty butter tubs, empty fizzy drink bottles, empty cereal boxes, empty egg trays, beads, old wool)

Kids Church Play Ground Area
With summer around the corner we will be putting some benches and umbrellas outside which will then allow the children to have some of their lessons outdoors, we are also hoping to get a basketball hoop and or netball goal posts so if you have any of the above that is just sitting in the garage please feel free to bring it to the church and we will make great use of it.

WHY IS SUNDAY SCHOOL IMPORTANT - CRC KIDS CHURCH, A PLACE WHERE CHILDREN WANT TO BE

Transforming the younger generation for Christ

“Let the children come to me, so not to hinder them; for to such belongs the Kingdom of God. Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” Mark 10: 14-15
9 REASONS WHY SUNDAYS SCHOOL IS IMPORTANT

  1. Wonderful things happen in Sunday school, children hear the love of God.
  2. It is important to teach children about God because they learn things far more readily than adults, what is learned by a child is seldom forgotten.
  3.  A child who is saved early in life, wastes fewer years pursuing the worthless things of this world and has more years to serve God.
  4. Youth ask questions and build relationships with God and each other.
  5. Sunday school can fulfill the role of teaching values to young children - it teaches them what is OK behaviorally and what is not, and teaches the appropriate actions towards others.
  6. Sunday school helps the children make sense of the world and answers all the “why” questions.
  7. Sunday school provides a basic organized study of the scriptures at a level of understanding for that age group. (PRO 22:6).  Teach children in a way that fits their needs, and even when they are old, they will not leave the right path.
  8. Sunday school provides for fellowship and a sense of belonging for each member.
  9. Sunday school is a training ground for young Christians to be more productive in their church and gives them the opportunity to develop their skills and talents for the Lord.

CRC KIDS - "PLUG - IN"

Do You have a cellphone?
Where do you use it ? in the car, in the house, outside
When do you use it ? when you need information,
when you need help, if your lost and need directions, or if you just want to talk

Did you know God wants us to call Him?
He even gives us his number!  J.E.S.U.S

Rom 10:13 For whoever shall call upon the name of the Lords shall be saved
Jer 29:12  Then you will call my name. You will come to me and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

What else do we need when using a cellphone, a charger, we need to make sure that our phone is charged, without the access to a source to recharge, the phone will probably die and will become unusable

Ade 11-13 lesson

Just like the cellphone we need to be charged
up spiritually,  "PLUG - INTO" Gods word
daily, prayer time is essential if we want to be
usable in Gods hands.

Proverbs 8:34  Whoever waits at my door and listens for me will be blessed.

So remember, in order to make sure that your battery is always charged,
spend time with God, read your bible and stay strong in the spirit.

Would you like to be a part of our exciting CRC Kids Church ministry?

The children’s church vision is to help children develop and grow in a meaningful relationship with God. Our aim is not simply to impart knowledge but instead provide a tool kit of Christian values and principles upon which our children can build a solid future.

By properly informing and reinforcing these principles in fun and exciting ways that are age appropriate and practical enough to implement into everyday life, we hope to increase each child’s potential of becoming well rounded and spiritually influential members within their communities.

We incorporate the latest word-based multimedia curriculum to stimulate learning and to encourage interaction and stimulate learning amongst our children. The foundation of all learning is based on the Word of God, but we also understand that the methods in which to reach our children have to be adapted in order for the children to relate to the message and understand the application thereof. We structure our messages in such way to encourage discussions between children and parents on relevant biblical topics.

Our age groups range from the very small (2-3 year olds) to the bigger (10-13 year olds) group. The children’s ministry is a vital part of a growing church. Through this ministry we are able to shape our future generations and watch as they attain the great things that God has in store for them.

If you have a heart for children and would like to be a part of this exciting ministry we would love to hear from you.

Mar 9:36 – 37
And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,
Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receives me: and whosoever shall receive me, receives not me, but him that sent me.
